This apartment is nestled in the high-end property area of Chengdu, China; an interior project by Mohen International Design. The opulence is apparent as soon as one walks through the door; the extravagance mirrors the homeowners who enjoy splurging on the best things life has to offer. The interior is a sweeping bejeweling of gold and, gray and black, omitting an overwhelming sense of richness.

The space itself flows through the space easily; each department in the home is decorated as a whole before separated by elongated hallways and into other living spaces. The designers took full advantage of mirrors, giving the illusions of bigger rooms and higher ceilings. Within the bathroom too, a full length mirror occupying an entire wall is able to open up to a separate room.

The lavishness is clearly implied by the use of various materials such as marble, steel, mirrors and fur. The bedroom is paved with a horse hair carpet, the entire main bathroom tiled with pearl shell veneered walls that gleams like actual gold when hit with light. The depiction of a luxurious Classic Western interior style results in a gaudy yet handsome manner.
