If quirky is right up your street then be sure to visit this out-of-the-ordinary restaurant for a dining experience with a difference.
Much like fashion and design, culinary trends also come and go and the latest one seems to have more of a swine flavour. With so many ‘porky’ establishments popping up, Three Little Pigs and The Big Bad Wolf is one with a difference. On top of its memorable name, the restaurant also has two personalities; from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m., the three little pigs come out to play but from 6 p.m. on till 11.30 p.m., it is wolf time.
In the morning, the Three Little Pigs is a child friendly place but when the sun sets, the Big Bad Wolf transforms into a place where one can enjoy a glass of wine, showcasing a more adult character. Regardless of day or night, the interior is simplistic yet comforting and gives off the impression of a relaxed New York loft.
With two different personalities, the restaurant undergoes some subtle changes during the transition to wolf time. Menu-wise, the day menu consists of lighter items like breakfast sandwiches but the night menu offers more variety with heavier meal options like pork knuckles and pork ribs. Staff uniform is more casual during the day with polo tees while the night crew don button shirts. Some changes are made to the interior as well; see if you can spot the difference.
Even the items on the menu are wittily named, so when in doubt on what to order, take a page out of the wolf’s book, try ‘The Wolfs Favourite’ or perhaps ‘I’m So Hungry I Could Eat A Wolf’ and lets not forget ‘The One That Didn’t Get Away’.
