Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British design and manufacturing company of lighting and furniture. With a commitment to innovation and a mission to revive the british furniture industry, the brand is inspired by our nation’s unique heritage. Tom Dixon launches new collections annually with products sold more than 60 countries.

Tom Dixon has recently launched a new collection in a fresh new space, Officine Stendhal, as a part of an exciting exhibition, Multiplex for Milan Design Week 2011. Partnering with BlackBerry, Tom Dixon is constructing a 400 sq. m installation incorporating the new collection with the BlackBerry PlayBook. The new products put on showcase is the ETCH, BULB, ROLL and CAST.

BULB

Bulb is an energy efficient oversized light bulb designed in reaction to the phasing-out of the incandescent bulb and the unattractive aesthetic of most CFL replacements. The quick start T5 bulb is unique to Tom Dixon and the standard E27 thread means that it can be used with almost any light fitting. Bulb can be used individually or as part of one of three new chandelier frames.

ETCH

Etch is a series of digitally manufactured shades, a candle holder and tower. Made by employing a hi-tech process used to produce electronic products, including circuit boards, the method allows for intricate patterns to be cut directly onto the metal. The new Etch Light is an impressive 100cm diameter.
