There’s always something irresistibly exciting about Thai dining. Perhaps we are ready for a gastronomic experience that promises a burst of different flavours, or maybe when it comes to all things Thai, there’s always something exotic and different to look forward to. At the Amarin Heavenly Thai restaurant in Mid Valley Megamall, the anticipations of a delicious Thai experience above are met, but that’s not all.

Upon stepping foot into the cosy interiors of this restaurant, the L-shaped space of Amarin Heavenly Thai begins with a narrow entrance and walkway, guiding restaurant patrons into a much larger space that’s luxurious yet casual. But one thing’s for sure, this is a family oriented restaurant that offers both the young and old an appetizing affair. According to Rachel Cheah, Assistant Manager of the Sea Cuisine Group of Restaurants, the name for this restaurant was spontaneously decided by Executive Director, Sea Cuisine Group of Restaurants, Thanee Laivarintr, but it turned out to have a wonderful and memorable ring to it whilst offering an authentic feeling to the restaurant’s concept – something that truly complements the tantalizing spread of Thai fare available here.

“The food served here at Amarin Heavenly Thai@Mid Valley Megamall is truly authentic”, says Rachel. “The gravies, curries and soup bases served here are all created using freshly ground herbs and condiments”. This restaurant is also pork free and suppliers of the food ingredients to the restaurant are all, halal.

All chefs employed at the outlets handled by the Sea Cuisine Group of Restaurants are strictly of Thai origin. An Executive Head Chef has also been appointed to oversee the standards and operations of each chef that is assigned to individual outlets similar to Amarin. Some of the other products that go under this umbrella of companies are the Absolute Thai outlets, Basil@Bangsar Village, Busaba Heavenly Thai@Bangsar Shopping Centre, Celadon@Pavillion Kuala Lumpur and Thai Thai@Sunway Pyramid. Taking a walk around this interesting space will awaken your creative side as each individual section of this restaurant will offer you a different feel, experience and overall relaxed and homey ambience. The backdrop is a beautiful composition of black wire mesh walls, glass as well as unfinished concrete wall finishes. To keep the entire setting chic and contemporary, colourful seating areas are incorporated, engaging customers in a cosy manner.

Over on the walls, pictures are hung in abundance with some themes that range from the King Rama V collection, pictures of elephants, Victorian inspired paintings, and pictures featuring natural elements which include flora and fauna, vast fields as well as other paintings that reflect Thai elements and themes. One wall within this outlet by the S.E.A Cuisine Group will truly catch your attention especially during the after dark hours when one chooses to dine in the restaurant. This is a wall featuring a compilation of raw and unfinished rocks that are plastered together. Glimmering like the stars in the mysterious sky above, this feature wall truly projects a natural and earthy feel, complementing the tasteful finishes of the restaurant’s interior.

Rachel says, “Our Executive Director is very particular and pays a lot of attention into designing the interiors of the outlets managed by him. Mr Thanee has a specialised in-house project team to handle interior design matters of all his outlets.
