To all the mommy to be out there, for this month’s special we are providing you with tips on how to decorate your nursery. 各位妈妈们请注意，我们这个月将为你提供装饰儿童房的小提示。

I don’t know about you, but I sure know that my mother did not take decorating her baby’s room (which is mine) into perspective and she wounded up with baby stuff all over the house. More than often, people seem to leave out these detail until their child is born but little do they know, there is a great deal of importance that needs to go into play. There is normally the problem of where to place the furniture and what needs to be looked out for. So rather and leaving you worrying about what needs to be done, we will provide you with enough information so that you can focus on you and your baby.

为了迎接小宝贝的到来，妈妈们会满怀喜悦地为宝宝准备一个温馨的房间；但装饰房房间并不简单，必须注意灯光、颜色、温度等因素对宝宝的影响。那么在装饰的过程中有哪些需要注意的呢?让我们提供以下一些要点让妈妈们参考。

Baby Crib Placement
婴儿床位置
This should be the centre piece of the whole design- as the decision to where the crib goes is absolutely immaculate. Make sure that it is placed away from windows. The crib can be placed in several positions depending on the size of the room. Placing the longer side against the wall is an option. Consequently, if the room is big room you can put one of the ends to the wall so that you have access to both sides of the crib. But if you are working with a small space, consider angling the crib to a save some space.
婴儿床是宝宝除了妈妈的怀抱以外，最舒适的一个地方，所以婴儿床是房间的中心点。婴儿床应紧挨着墙放，如果离开墙放置的话，距离要超过50厘米；而床下最好铺上比床面积更大的地毯，以免宝宝跌落时撞伤头部。不要将婴儿床放在窗边或者靠近可以帮助宝宝爬出来的家具旁。

The Changing Table or Dresser Placement
衣橱与柜子的摆放
Where the changing table and/or dresser should be placed is to assist with the design plan. Choosing to place the changing table by electrical outlets can prove to be a wise and convenient choice so that you can plug in lamps, tabletop night lights or other electrical item. Also, locating the changing table near the closet or dresser will make dressing time flow better.
婴儿房里的家具必须结实、圆滑；但小宝宝不需要大量的家具，要确保有足够的收纳空间，特别是在更换区。衣橱与柜子应摆放在一起，以方便妈妈为宝宝更换衣物。

Placing Bookcases
放置书柜
Bookcases can be a great place for storage in a room. If the space that you are working with is limited, choose a taller one verses a shorter wider one. This would ensure that things placed in the nursery are neat and clean – when you have a baby in your arm you would defiantly want to avoid tripping over.
可在角落放置一个书柜；如果空间不大，可以选择高瘦型的书柜。确定放置在书柜的物品必须整齐干净，方便你一手抱宝宝，一手拿物品；也以免宝宝爬行或学步时，有任何的物品跌落。

Toy Box Location
玩具箱的位置
To many there is never the need to have a toy box in the home, but believe us you would definitely appreciate a space better when everything is placed in the right place. Toy boxes take up the least amount of space, so place them in whatever space you have left. But take caution when placing the toy box near the window or any piece of furniture where the baby can climb to avoid any unnecessary injury.
玩具在宝宝的生活中扮演着重要的角色，父母难免会为宝宝购买各种大大小小的玩具；但购买玩具之外，应选购几个玩具箱，除了方便为玩具分类，也让房间看起来更整齐、干净。

Decoration

To make your baby’s room interesting, you should always add colour and accessories that make the room look cosy. But be careful to always choose the paint or glue with low VOC levels to avoid any medical damages. This is the best time to experiment with your imagination and also colours. So with the use of wall stickers onto a monotone shades would be the better choice as your child grows up you can easily change the style of the room.
为婴幼儿的房间进行装饰时务必慎重，因为在短短几年间，你可能需要重新装饰房间。除了风格和色调，应选择容易更换的物品如窗帘、床上用品和地毯等等。

Safety Tips

As your child grows bigger and they start to discover opening drawers or poking into small holes- it is best to ensure that all the plug points are guarded by a socket lock, as for the drawers you can just install a drawer lock where you would have to unhook before opening. This would be the necessary actions to take.
Try to keep furniture pieces, especially the crib and changing table away from any heating or cooling devices – yes that is the air conditioner. This would prevent your baby from getting burnt or too chilly while getting changed, which may cause their delicate skin to dry out.
柜子与桌子等是房间里不可或缺的家具，避免宝宝爬行或会走后碰伤，应在所有桌角、橱角等地方贴上安全护套或海绵；所有的电插座应采用安全插座的设计来隔绝电源。此外，婴儿床及更换区的橱柜位置应远离冷气机，因为过于寒冷的空气会令宝宝娇嫩的皮肤变得干燥。
