Industry experts reinforced AkzoNobel’s high standards of quality paints when industry experts awarded its Dulux Weathershield ‘Keep Cool’ paint the HOMEDEC 2010 Quality Award at the HOMEDEC 2010 exhibition. The product was awarded based for its high quality standards of material and functionality, eco-friendliness, innovation, and technology.

There were a total of 66 submissions – 35 products were nominated for the Quality Award and 31 for the Good Design Award. The Dulux Weathershield ‘Keep Cool’ paint was awarded under the Good Quality category along with 15 other winners that were announced. The new exterior emulsion range of paints, which includes Weathershield, Weathershield Max, and Roofshield products, features Dulux’s revolutionary Keep Cool™ heat reflective technology that reduces exterior wall temperatures by up to 5°C as compared to conventional exterior paint. With cooler home temperatures, consumers can opt to reduce the use of air-conditioning – resulting in savings of up to 15% on energy used to cool their homes and mitigating the effects of global warming.
