It may be a small area but it houses big ideas and enormous functionality in its innovative and creative designs. this is truly a space that will inspire.

John Dobbin once said “Actually, cats protect you from gnomes who come and steal your breath while you sleep.” Whether that statement may be true or not, the homeowner of this humble chirpy studio apartment is anything but bashful when it comes to displaying their affection for the obnoxious feline creatures. The studio itself resembles a playground. The small space obviously did not dampen the need to design, instead heightened it to the utmost creativity while having the best fun doing so.

The option for walls splashed in a bright sunny yellow and with majority of the furniture pieces in white creates an airy ambience, even taking the attention away from the fact that the space is smaller than it perceives to be. Urban contemporary is the style opted for here and every piece of minimalist furniture is chosen with the main idea of maximizing space.

The sofa furniture is designed with a wooden mini coffee table in the middle, creating a convenient surface to place that cup of coffee within easy reach when busy being a couch potato. The dining table is a mere foldable surface screwed into the wall, allowing it to be folded neatly back against the wall when not in use.

A ceiling lamp resembling a witch’s pointy black hat hangs low, omitting a romantic lighting over meal times.

The homeowners had a platform built; creating a second story especially reserved for the privacy that is the sleeping area. Large enough to fit in a double bed, the area oozes with cozy comfort. What is truly clever is that the entire space below the staircase hides the fact that it comprises of all drawers and cabinets, doubling up as a spacious wardrobe area.

This is only a fraction of the intelligent designing and architecture done to fully maximize every nook & cranny of this home. The smallest feline is a masterpiece, but designing the feline’s playground is an accomplishment worth marveling over.
