Karim Rashid brings light to your world with the Empirico Terra, Doride Terra and Solium.
This time around, one of the most prolific interior designer and interior architect of his generation, Karim Rashid, makes yet another creative statement with Artemide. The three curvy floor lamps that would stall you in your tracks are the Empirico Terra, Doride Terra and Solium.
Made of polyethylene and aluminium, the white Empirico Terra is the extension of the Empirico range. Structured in painted aluminium, the human figure-like lighting is rotationally polyethylene moulded with opal glossy finish.
As for the Doride Terra, it comprises of steel, hydroformed metal and polycarbonate. Available in black and white, the highlight of the lighting piece would be the leaf which imitates the stroke of a pen, a soft vertical wave in flux and a fluid gesture that changes to vary light. There’s also a touch dimmer placed on the stem. For those who enjoy a touch of whimsical class, the white Solium made of painted steel and painted fibreglass would inject an instant wow factor into your living spaces.
