Kitchen Special : Terminate Pesky Pests

28 May 2012,
Everyone hopes to own a clean and spacious kitchen, sadly due to our hot and humid climate throughout the year, cockroaches can be seen everywhere. And this can be such a headache! Below are several environmental-friendly ways to eliminate these pests.

01. The wine bottle method
Empty a wine bottle with a little leftover wine as bait, add in some sugar and have it lean on the wall. The greedy cockroaches will attempt to climb into the bottle, and eventually fall into the trap. This is when you can pour hot water into the bottle and burn the cockroaches to death.

02. The hot soapy water method
Add a bar of soap into 4 liters of hot water, upon dissolving, spray it directly onto the cockroaches.

03. The baking soda method
Apparently this is one of the common ways that Americans use to get rid of cockroaches – With an equal amount of sugar and baking soda mixed together, simply place the mixture at a cockroach infested area, and the cockroaches will disappear in approximately 3 to 14 days.

04. The orange and lemon peel method
Dry the oranges and lemon peel or have them baked, then place them into cabinets and refrigerators. Not only can they act as scenting agents, they can also help you get rid of cockroaches effectively.

05. The PrinBord Anti Cockroach method
If you’re too lazy to concoct the deadly mixtures mentioned earlier, another way of eliminating cockroaches quickly is to consider T-Prin’s PrinBord Anti Cockroach as it prevents cockroaches from moving freely in your house.

ABOUT T-PRIN PANEL SDN BHD
The company offers a broad range of printed panels, called PrinBord, began commercial production in 2001 using Italian technology. The company’s PrinBord Anti Cockroach is the world’s first direct printed and UV-lacquer coated wood panel that repels cockroaches. When a cockroach comes in contact or within 500mm close to the surface, the repellent compound stimulates the nerves of the cockroach and prevents it from resting or colonizing on the board.
