A marvelous take on the minimalist concept.



If minimalist design means reducing the interior to its bare necessities, then this house is a showcase of the concept at its best. Bare white walls and polished marble floor provide the right setting for the concept to flow. The colours of the furniture and wall fittings are limited to a few for a seamless coordination with the concept. The sparseness of space is heightened by the large windows all around the home.

The neutral coloured background allows artistically designed pieces to stand out, such as in the case of the kitchen breakfast bar. In keeping with the minimalist look, the kitchen breakfast bar is stripped of any details, just a simple piece of wooden feature, extending from the ceiling to the floor in a gentle slope. Yet it makes its presence felt with its lovely curve.

The team at ID Benchmark has accomplished a marvellous task in modernising the minimalist concept, reducing the elements to their bare essentials while maintaining an aesthetically appearance.
