Small Wonder
26 November 2011,
Merging simplistic elements with sophistication, the designer shows that a small space is not detrimental to a good design.

Spatial planning is crucial to a small space in order to avoid a crowded and cluttered look. In this home, the designer has managed to divide the space nicely without sacrificing design elements. The designer even manages to squeeze in some feature walls, which normally would take up a huge space.
At the entrance, a large geometric feature wall stands on the right side while you peek into the kitchen on the left side through the glass door. Instead of an open kitchen favored by many houses, the enclosed kitchen is in place to prevent the smell of cooking from pervading the home.
With the use of white tiles, which helps to enhance the illusion of space, the feeling of being cramped is avoided. The open concept of the home evokes the feeling of staying in a luxury hotel room.
