Oriental Chivalry


Din tai fung’s main specialty is their distinct 18 folds steamed dumpling (xiao long bao).today, din tai fung has spread their wings to over 10 countries, and praise the lord Malaysia is one of them.

Whenever the name Din Tai Fung is mentioned, the first thing that people think of is small, delicate steamed dumplings. It’s only natural to associate the two, after all. Originated from Taipei and renowned worldwide rated as one of the top 10 gourmet restaurants in the world, the interior design of the eatery also plays a big role in making each visit a thoroughly satisfying and memorable one.

A definite attention grabber as one walks towards the restaurant is a full clear view of the smartly dressed chefs busy at work cooking up delicious dishes with piles of the traditional bamboo Dim Sum containers neatly stacked in a corner. Upon walking into the restaurant cajoled by the intense food fragrance, simple clean cut brown hued dining table sets are laid neatly across the room. Large lighting pieces hang low, demanding a closer inspection, and upon that, one will delightfully discover the each lighting is hand made from individual pieces of chopsticks.

The restaurant is divided into 3 main areas. Walking through a black craved partition would lead to a cozier and more private setting where customers are able to enjoy the view through the glass windows. The wallpapers showcase traditional Chinese lanterns, teapots and Chinese characters. Walking along the corridor towards the far right of the restaurant is catered to diners with more company. The usual large round dining table with the Lazy Susan stays hidden from the rest of the hustle and bustle of the other diners.
