A Good Year For Goodnite

A credible company is a company that targets all classes of the market; as long as there are well intentions, the company will certainly gain the market’s certification. Goodnite Sdn Bhd is the perfect example of such a company. Goodnite was awarded the national mark of Malaysian brand 2011 last year, in line with the company’s product, quality and service excellence.
The National Mark of Malaysian Brand award was jointly conceived by the Small and Medium Enterprises Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp.) and SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd; an award that depicts, quality, excellence and distinction of products and services by Malaysian companies. Through this effort, the Government hopes to change the perception that SME products are of lower quality, reliability and low packaging standards than the big brand names. The Malaysian brand was launched by the Crown Prince of Perak Darul Ridzuan, HRH Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah Ibni Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah in March 2009.
Under this programme, participating Malaysian companies will be evaluated through stringent standards, whereby auditing and monitoring measures will be put in place to ensure adherence to the set quality standards. If successful, the products or services will be given the right to carry the Malaysian Brand. In order to retain the Mark, auditing and monitoring measures will be done periodically to ensure adherence to the criteria set. Goodnite’s General Manager Cher WC said that the company is elated to having won the award, as this not only proves the company’s quality but has also strengthened the branding of the name.
“The significance of this award is very great for Goodnite; being given such certification and recognition. With the highest grant for A&P of RM 100, 000, Goodnite will be using this actively in advertising and marketing and continue to push the company’s position in the market,” explained Cher’s.
He explained that the company’s existing market currently at the middle and lower range, Goodnite aims to expand to the premium and riche market in the next three years; in line with the expansion of brand reposition and new product development. The company is targeting to open 6 concept stores/flagship stores in Klang Valley including Bangsar, Damansara area and high traffic location.
In addition, over the next two years the company will also be introducing German and Italian machineries costing up to millions of Ringgit to improve production efficiency and product delivery. At the same time, the company will be concentrating in penetrating the international market by exhibiting in international exhibitions such as in Asia Pacific, USA and UK. Goodnite is also targeting the U.S. market, targeting to increase its percentage of international sales by 20%.
