Getting His Priorities Straight

Appreciating family love whilst living in the moment.

In this day and time, branding makes all the difference for the success of a new product. In fact, the longer the brand name is able to sustain in the market, proves the greater value the brand bears.

Here is a man who has strived hard to get to where he is today, a man of dreams and determination, he has managed to brand himself due to his exceptional talent in various fields. A deejay for Chinese radio station, 98.8 FM, he is also a successful businessman, actor, songwriter and event planner – He is none other than Chan Fong.

“I hope the international brands will come seeking after our services, that’d be true success,” Chan Fong said with a laugh. He claimed that many advertisers are still accustomed to using the same marketing strategy to cater to the Chinese, Malay and English consumers’ market, not knowing that every market requires distinct segmentation. He believed that this type of marketing strategy is only able to achieve short term marketing goals, and that it will not aid in long term branding.

When it comes to educating his kids, his wife plays the main role with him as her good assistant. Chan Fong feels that it’s important to be patient with the little ones, because good upbringing goes a long way.

“Kids will always have their temper, thus it’s important how we reason with them. If we are patient when communicating with them, we can alleviate their bad habits tactfully, and build a healthy relationship from there on.”

He claimed that most weekends were spent in the kitchen with his wife; together they would cook meals for their kids, simply enjoying family life to the fullest. He smiled, “Even if something were to happen to my career right now, we can still survive by being thrifty. The most important thing is to appreciate what we have and live in the moment.”

His philosophy of life seems to mimic the Zen-like atmosphere that was portrayed through natural lights reflecting from the windows. Chan Fong gave a satisfactory smile as he explained how these tinted windows that were anti-breakage and able to block UV rays were sponsored by Tint Gallery.

He especially love that the windows went well with the simple design of his home, blending in with the light colour tones. His family could now reside in the comfort of their home with a sense of security.

As of this moment, Chan Fong feels assured and satisfied with Tint Gallery’s tints. “The children are still very young, so having an extra bit of protection is helpful.” says Chan.
