The Allurement Of Wincci Soo

“Failure is the mother of success. The harder i fall, the stronger i will emerge. I always have the right attitude to face obstacles and strong determination to overcome any difficulty.” These are the wise words of Wincci Soo – living her life by never giving up.

“失败是成功之母，跌倒了，我会更坚强的爬起来，用正确的心态去面对我每次的挫折，用坚强的毅力去克服每一个困难。”这就是那个勇于尝试，永不言弃的Wincci苏盈之。

Home is where the heart is.
Wincci Soo may just be a real life princess – growing up in a loving home comprising her parents and two brothers. Surrounded by love and security, she regards her home as a safe haven, even more so realizing this after coming back from studying abroad. “After graduating, I did contemplate on moving out and living on my own. But perhaps as we get older, we come to realize how important family is and knowing how much more comfortable the house you grow up in is. My parent’s home is not only a safe haven for me, but it’s also a place where I can recharge best.”

“Because of my hectic job schedule, I rarely have time to see my family. They are usually asleep when I get home, but fortunately we all live under the same roof so there are moments where we spend time together. Although we have a huge house, there are only my parents, myself and the maid living here as both of my brothers are currently abroad,” explains Wincci.

Wincci’s house is indeed huge – made up of 9 rooms including the four bedrooms, a Karaoke room, a computer room, the maid’s quarters and the ease of each room coming equipped with a bathroom. Amongst all the rooms, her creativity is wildly let loose in the studio which her father set up 6 years ago. “We also have a very large garden as my father loves planting from plants to Durian trees even! Initially he also wanted a swimming pool in the yard, but after taking into account the maintenance and upkeep costs, we dropped the idea.”

The beauty queen melts even more hearts when revealing how she loves to cook. “I really love the fact that our kitchen is divided into the baking area and wet cooking area because I really need the space. Once I spent ten whole hours baking and decorating up a cake! But my delicious specialties are my apple pie and baked chicken with condensed milk.” She gushed heartily. Taking after her parents, Wincci is absolutely charming and adores spending time with friends. She often throws parties over the weekends – sometimes with the aid of catering services and if she has more time on her hands, she’ll humor her guests by whipping up some dishes with the many cooking tools her father has bought for her use.

Dream Land.
Just like Disneyland is known for its fun rides and memorable experiences, the 26 year old beauty queen wishes for a place like Wincci-land. A home spread over acres and filled with fun recreational activities with all the luxurious amenities imaginable. And within it, rooms to house her entire family! Wishful thinking just might make wishes come true.

“When it comes to my bedroom, I long for a design that is both comfortable and rich in texture. I believe that white is the best colour to adorn both the room and the furniture – this way the room will look spacious,” explains Wincci who aims for simplicity, elegance and a design that is easy to maintain.

The songbird is also an avid Feng Shui follower, believing that certain guides to home furnishing and colors would make a huge difference in luck and fortune flow in her home hence consulting a Feng Shui master is a definite when deciding on her home interior. Setting a goal for herself, Wincci foresees her own beautiful home and her pop music career soaring in 5 years. “I’m planning on taking in more work now that I am young, place some important investments in the resale industry, and if all goes well, I can achieve my dream house by the time I hit the big 30.”

Creativity and Innovation.
Wincci proves to have the strong values of a beauty pageant – living her life with ample room for innovation and new experiences. She has acting, singing, composing music and mastered several musical instruments under her belt as well as proficient in several languages including Chinese, English, Malay, Japanese, French and Korean.

Wincci possesses a curious adventurous spirit, clearly seen when tackling on new projects such as her album and desire to one day act in a martial arts movie. As her character is so colorful, she hopes to gives her audience snippets of her versatile personality through different creative projects. “I hope I will continue to give the audience a different Wincci each time.”

A Chilling Tale.
One of Wincci’s songs, ‘Fear’ was composed with a little ‘help’. During the filming of the movie ‘Injustice’ Wincci was quite tired due to the hectic scheduling. However on her way in to sleep one night, she could hear a very soft distant sad melody ringing in her ears. Despite being a little scared, she made her way down to the Piano and composed the song she had heard, until it was finished. “When I finally finished composing the difficult song, I made my way to my bedroom and was shocked to see that it was exactly 3:00 in the morning! It was very scary.”

But alls well and that ends well, Wincci hopes that the new year will bring many more additions to her resume and that she will be placing most of her focus on her singing career.

Wincci之家
Wincci苏盈之可称是名副其实的千金小姐，从小就在婆婆、父母与两位哥哥的呵护下长大，是家中的掌上明珠。“家”对苏盈之来说是一个避风港，她说：“可能是因为个性比较独立，也或许是因为习惯了一个人的生活，当我刚从国外毕业回来大马，曾想过要搬到外面住。但很奇怪的，当人渐渐长大，便会开始想常常赖在家里。我想，可能这是因为家里始终才是最舒适与自在的地方。它不仅是我永远的避风港，也是一个让我充电的地方。当我觉得累了，便会回家休息充电，第二天再重新出发。”

她感慨地说：“因为工作的关系，我很少时间看到我的家人。很多时候，当我回到家时，全家人都睡着了。我想，还好我与家人居住在同一个屋檐下，那既使我生活忙碌，但至少有时候还能与他们碰面聊天。”她说：“屋子很大，但居住在内的人却不多，加上两位哥哥都在国外，所以庞大的屋子里只剩下父母、婆婆、工人与我。”

Wincci的豪宅拥有共9间房间，其中包括了父母居住的主人房、婆婆的卧室、两位哥哥的卧室、她的闺房、迷你卡拉OK室、她的工作室–Wincci box、电脑室与工人房，而每间卧室也各设有一间浴室。她说：“我家还拥有一个大花园，那里可是我爸爸的心血，因为他非常喜欢种植，所以在那里种了许多植物与盆栽，我家还有榴莲树呢！”她还说：“我爸爸本来还想在院子里设置一个游泳池，但考虑到不容易维护与维修的关系，所以我们就打消了这个念头。”

Wincci的家也非常注重保安系统，她也幸庆家里的保安系统非常稳固，小偷才不容易入侵。她说：“早期我的家还差点遭到小偷光顾，回想起来还真很惊赫！当时小偷用了大约一小时在我的家门口前尝试撬开，幸好家里的门扇拥有多层保护，也不易损坏，后来我家的工人发现了便报警将他们绳之于法。”

身为唱作人的Wincci，家中的Wincci box可是她的创作天空。“它是爸爸在6年前特地为我设立的，而我也常常窝在里面创作与练歌。我还想在那里增添一些录音器材，让录音系统更完善。”

此外，Wincci平日的爱好就是烹饪了。她滔滔不绝地说：“我家里的厨房可分成两个范围，一个是烘焙的地方，另一边则是用来烹饪。我很喜欢烘焙蛋糕和饼干，我还曾经试过用十小时来制作蛋糕的装饰呢！苹果派是我最拿手的点心了，而我的拿手好菜则非烤鸡配炼奶莫属！”

可能是遗传了父母和蔼友善，Wincci的热情与好客让人觉得温馨。她常常会与一些艺人朋友在周末期间搞些派对聚会，但因为生活忙碌，他们会在聚会时选择餐饮服务。然而，有时候Wincci也会兴致勃勃地展现她的精湛厨艺。她说：“父亲还因此为我买了许多装置食物的器具，让我可以装置那些美味的食物。不仅如此，有时候朋友们也会在我的家里为那些生日儿举办惊喜派对呢！”

她有点抱怨的说：“我家的厨房拥有3架冰箱，但里面所储装的食物还是堆积如山。我真搞不懂，家里的成员明明就不多，而且我们每个人也都在减肥，但父母总是喜欢一直购买水果、干贝等食材，好像拼了命也要把3个庞大的冰箱里塞满似的！”

另外，Wincci的家人都相信家居风水摆设可帮助改变运程。她说：“我们一家也非常注重家里的风水摆设，还记得小时候，我的记性很差，但经过一位风水大师提醒才让我的记忆力有所改善。那时候我的读书桌子是靠近我的浴室，因为这样我所读过的知识都会被冲走。”

梦幻乐园
犹如公主的她，梦想中的家居也要让她像个身在皇室里的公主般备受呵护，简约奢华的居家设计，肯定符合公主的要求。Wincci说：“我常常跟我身边的朋友说，其它国家拥有迪悉尼乐园 （Disneyland），但我却想要一个Wincci乐园（Wincciland）。我的Wincciland要像个娱乐场般，里面要有完善的娱乐设施，包括了迷你电影院、迷你卡拉OK房、迷你桑拿室、迷你健身房等。那个时候，我便会与我的丈夫一间卧室、婆婆一间、父母一间、哥哥们各一间。这么一来，我们一家人不用出门都可以享受生活乐趣了，哈哈！”对于闺房的设计，她则要求拥有一个简约与富有质感的舒适空间。她说：“房间的家具与摆设最好是以白色为主，加上多功能家具的配搭，不仅可节省空间，也使其空间看起来更宽敞。而我的梦想家居最重要拥有三大特点：简单、美观与容易维护。”

喜欢烹饪的她，当然少不了想要拥有高科技的厨房设备。她说：“我梦想中的厨房设计是简约与时尚的，我想，银锡色最适合了。另外，厨房也需设有齐全的设备，如：洗碗机、微波炉、烤炉、碗碟烘干机等，这绝对节省不少时间。” 另外，居家风水对她而言也是非常重要的。她强调：“从前的我会选择自己喜欢的摆设与颜色来设计家居，但现在我会选择先征询风水师的意见后，才决定居家设计。”

然而，目前的她资金有限，所以她希望在这几年里做些产业投资，并设定自己在５年的时间内可弹出她心中的梦想乐谱。她说：“我想趁年轻的时候多拼搏事业，另外也投资于产业转卖这个行业，这样便可以赚取更多金钱，希望我能在30岁前购买我的梦想乐园，并完成博士学位。”

多才多艺 创新求变
她不喜欢墨守成规或一成不变的生活，她喜欢创新，并对一切新事物抱着不妨一试的心态。Wincci不但会演戏、歌唱、创作、弹奏各种乐器、还精通各种语言，包括华语、英语、马来语、日语、法语与韩语。

她对新鲜事物抱有强烈的好奇心与勇于尝试的精神，她除了拥有精湛的厨艺外，甚至还会变脸。她说：“还这张专辑的MV里，观众还可以看到我大胆尝试的钢管舞，我想，这肯定带给观众另一个不同的苏盈之。”

在厨艺方面，她也喜欢创制自己的菜肴，她的拿手好菜－烤鸡配炼奶。她说：“当时我在英国念书，因为当地食材非常有限，所以便无法厨出复杂的菜式，然而我却创制了这道佳肴。自此，只要有同学聚会，同学们都会要求我准备这道菜肴。”另外，她也想尝试拍电影，特别是武打电影。她说：“我希望在未来可以不断地给观众看到不同的Wincci，我想拍电影，尤其对武打电影有兴趣。我想我也应该开始学些基本功夫，以便为我的未来做好准备。除了学历，不同的人生经验将给与我最大的信心。”

惊悚经历
Wincci说有件离奇事件令她终身难忘，她的最新专辑里的其中一首歌曲《怕》，“Scary”是她口中的“好兄弟”替她完成的。她说：“我还记得那是在《血蝴蝶》的拍摄期间。那天的我已经筋疲力尽，但是就在我就要入眠前，我仿佛听到有些旋律在耳边哼唱，那个旋律有点凄凉，却很好听。 虽然有点害怕，但我还是没有想那么多就跑到楼下的钢琴弹奏，但是弹到一半的时候却很累，很想回房睡觉。然而，我却感到有种力量阻止我，好像要我继续把那首曲子编完似的。”她继续说：“当我很努力编完那首曲子，冲着上楼回房间时，赫然发现当时的时间刚好是半夜3时正，吓死我了！”

2011年的愿望
Wincci希望在新的一年里可以做不同的突破。她认真地说：“希望在新的一年可打破大家对我的美姐形象，专注在我的歌艺。”
