Since its inception in 1985, Lightcraft has become one of the leading lighting companies in Malaysia. Lightcraft began as a company that specialized in marketing contemporary and architectural light fittings catering to private residences as well as corporate buildings, hotels, shopping malls and more.
In 2016, as part of their business growth, Lighcraft has shifted to a RM10mil showroom cum office along Jalan Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur. Today, this prestigious lighting brand has expanded to include a Kartell Shop In Shop within Lightcraft’s designer showroom. To learn more about this new showroom.Creative Home caught up with Kartell’s CEO, Gilberto Negrini.
CH: What can customers expect from this showroom – are there any new Kartell lighting collection that you would like to highlight?
GN: Thanks to the collaboration between Lightcraft and Kartell, we had the opportunity to expose the eclectic product range to customers and to convey the identity and values of the brand: design, innovation and industrial production. The sales points are the privileged place for meeting and dialogue with the customer, a space to tell the product idea and its infinite variations and at the same time offer a shopping experience immersed in the Kartell Lifestyle.
CH: How would this new Kartell designer showroom at Lightcraft stand out from other lighting showrooms in Malaysia?
GN: Our spaces are intended not only to expose the eclectic product range to customers, but also to convey Kartell’s brand values. We always try to think of our stores in order to give our customers an experience that, in addition to allowing the purchase of all the products in the company catalog, allows us to give emotions and live a real Kartell Experience. Our products are designed to be timeless icons and for this reason we also give space to projects, events and special collaborations together with the sale of products.
CH: Can you tell us more about how Kartell and Lightcraft would play a significant role in elevating lighting trends in Malaysia?
GN: All Kartell products, including lighting, are versatile and have the ability to fit in different contexts and with any style. For this reason, they talk to consumers of all ages and at any latitude. And yet, they have a very specific identity that makes them immediately recognizable. What our products offer is the ability to blend with different styles. Also in Malaysia we are starting an increasingly close dialogue with the consumer who, in an increasingly fluid context, appreciates the possibility of contaminating their homes by choosing Kartell products as furniture elements. Our products are designed to be timeless icons that can then be inserted starting from the first home and then accompany each subsequent change in style, taste and… of home!
