Nu Infinity weaves another potentially award-winning interior by relying on the simplest possible set of materials to achieve the most striking effects in this cosy high-rise home.
The predominant theme is expressed as an appetiser in the foyer – underscored with intriguing light along its base. A display of lightly treated wood in simplistic cuts is presented against the monochromatic background of the entryway – a narrow corridor saturated in white leading to a modern archway of ebonised wood.
The elegantly simple interplay between light and shadow, wood and stone, spills out from the entryway and into the open layout of the home. The floors, walls, and ceilings, are all saturated in white – save for accents represented in varying qualities of wood and carbon-coated metals. The composition of the open layout is gifted with sunlight spilling through the generous length of windows, with the glare controlled by sliding louvered doors composed from whitewashed wood.
Various points of attention are created around the open layout with the use of darker materials – the television wall is made the star attraction of the space by way of wooden panels streaked with perpendicular black lines, the kitchen’s backsplash is rendered in glossy black, and a dark ceiling trench demarcates the individual spaces from above. A selection of furnishings and lighting fixtures are also selected to provide striking contrast against the pale surroundings.
