MINIMALIST AND SIMPLY COZY are the words to describe this establishment designed by interior designers, Edward Tan of Project 11 and Chuah Say Yang of Nevermore Design. Adding a twist to the modern design with the exposed brick walls coated with a layer of clear lacquer, charcoal grey tiles and bare concrete coffee countertop, the interior of Mr. & Ms. Café is made more austere-looking, exuding rustic charm. The fluid layout of Mr. & Ms. Café is designed in such a way to accommodate a variation of settings for different clientele, from coffee aficionados, casual brunch diners to exclusive private dining.
In Mr & Ms Café, simple design of tables and chairs are chosen to give a clean outlook to the interior of the restaurant. You can see long spanning shelves proudly displaying ingredients and products used in the kitchen. Noticeably, a warm tone is used in the entire establishment. Vintage filament light bulb fixtures from Shanghai create a unique ambience that is pleasant and warm. On the other hand, the grey walls are complemented with inspirational quotes handpicked personally by the Ms herself. The design effort by the lady owner does not stop here. Moving to the dining section at the back of the bar island, frames of inspirational quotes are found all over the rustic part of the outlet. Overall, the convivial geometries and articulate styling of Mr & Ms Café cocoon its patrons in an environment that offers a remarkable interior.
